Ezekiel 28 — The Fall of Tyre

Commerce without righteousness corrupts.

– The same “abundance of trade” that built Tyre also bred its violence.

Pride transforms guardians into adversaries.

– The king of Tyre’s fall mirrors that of ha-śāṭān, once a covering cherub.

YHWH humbles the proud but exalts the faithful.

– His justice and mercy always aim to make His holiness known.

The Almighty’s sovereignty stands above every empire.

– Tyre, Sidon, Babylon — all rise and fall, but YHWH reigns forever.
